How do I apply the tape?
You need to ensure you apply the Kinesiology tape directly to skin which is not cut, sore or broken in any way. Your skin will need to be free from creams and be dry and clean in order for the tape to be effective.
If your skin becomes irritated, or you have an allergic reaction to the tape, then it is very important to remove it straight away - muscle pain and irritable skin is not a good combination.
The basics to applying the tape is adding one strip onto the affected area, this will have no tension and is known as the anchor end. The second piece of tape applied should be on the muscle, or joint, to provide therapeutic tension. Lastly, apply a second piece of anchor tape which will be without tension.
